Students now have better access to information and tools to accomplish their homework and assignments thanks to technological advancements. By depending excessively on artificial intelligence (AI) to do their academic work, students have been exploiting technology. This blog post we will look into how people abuse AI to complete their homework and assignments, as well as other possible strategies.


AI is made to assist us in doing jobs more quickly and precisely. It is not intended to be a replacement for human logic, thinking, or creativity. Sadly, some college students are already relying on AI tools like grammar checkers, content spinners, and essay generators to finish their academic work without fully knowing the subject. Users enter their questions or themes into the AI software, and without making any effort, they are given a pre-written response or essay.

This type of behavior not only compromises academic integrity but also makes studying more difficult. Students miss out on the chance to improve their critical thinking abilities and learn from their mistakes when they rely solely on AI tools. Using AI might also result in plagiarism and bad academic performance. Misusing AI to do academic work can have major consequences. Discipline against students who are discovered using AI-based tools to cheat may include suspension. Also, it may harm their grades, resulting in missed chances for more study and employment. Even if they avoid detection, they will lose the skills and knowledge that comes from doing the work themselves.

How can we stop the illegal usage of AI in assignments?  

Here are 4 advices for students :

Understand the assignment: Make sure that you understand the requirements of the assignment and ask questions if necessary.  Do some research and boost it using AI tools instead of copying it. Make sure you are familiar with the subject to do research.

Make wise choice: Don't rely on AI tools to create stuff for you; instead, use them to verify your grammar, spelling, and sentence structure. 

Use Citation: Cite your sources correctly to avoid copying if you use data from outside sources.

Ask for help: If you're having trouble doing an assignment, ask your teacher, friends or classmates for assistance.

In conclusion, AI tools can be useful in doing assignments, but shouldn't be heavily relied on. To prosper in their academic careers, students need to absorb the knowledge and build skills in critical thinking. Using AI tools irresponsibly compromises academic honesty, discourages learning, and has serious repercussions. In order to succeed, learners should use AI tools wisely and focus on learning new things.
